The celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday allows the whole nation to recognize and appreciate civil rights, justice and freedom. The Northwest Arkansas MLK Planning Committee will be commemorating his life, legacy and commitment to the dream with several planned activities. One of the major events is the “Recommitment Banquet” on Monday, January 18, 2010, 7:00 p.m. at Fayetteville Town Center. Our expectation is to involve the entire Northwest Arkansas Community in all aspects of the celebration. Therefore, we are asking that your organization become a sponsor to help lower the cost of activities
There are four distinguished levels of sponsorship commitment: (1) Platinum: $10,000 (2) Gold: $7,500 (3) Silver: $5,000 (4) Bronze: $2,500. Also, we are soliciting sponsorships of $500 for a table that seats eight people. All sponsors will be recognized for their generosity. All contributions go towards the expenses of the various events and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Academic Scholarship fund. These scholarships will be awarded to deserving high school, undergraduate and graduate/professional students during the Recommitment Banquet. Checks are to be made payable to: MLK Planning Committee. Contributions are tax-deductible.
Remember as a sponsor, your company will play a role in recommitment to the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. If your company is unable to become a sponsor, we ask that you take part in the other activities that we have planned. All activities will be advertised in the upcoming months. The Northwest Arkansas MLK Planning Committee would like to thank you in advance for your support.
